O Christmas Tree: A Haiku
I present to y’all a Christmas haiku dedicated to The Cat:
“Well lit Christmas trees
Are more tempting than catnip
To my crazy cat.”
It’s true. Nothing makes The Cat lose her mind like a Christmas tree. When she sees us hauling up the decoration boxes, she will dive face first into them and start sniffing the tree rug. As each piece comes out of the box, she will meow and run around. Finally when everything is decorated, she will lounge under the tree for hours. It’s fun to watch, and I’m already dreading the rampage that will occur when we take it down next month.
